Position Overview
We are looking for three experienced Mechanical Engineers to join our teams based in Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will design, analyse, and oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment. You will collaborate with a skilled team, including designers and project managers, to ensure that engineering standards are met, and project goals are achieved efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development:
- Develop and design mechanical systems and equipment according to project specifications, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with standards.
- Prepare and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints for manufacturing and installation.
- Project Management and Planning:
- Plan, manage, and oversee installation and commissioning of mechanical systems on project sites.
- Ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met, and identify and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Analysis and Problem Solving:
- Conduct mechanical analysis to evaluate design performance, and optimize systems for efficiency and durability.
- Implement troubleshooting and diagnostic assessments for mechanical issues, proposing effective solutions.
- Testing and Quality Control:
- Conduct testing of systems and equipment to confirm compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
- Maintain records of inspections, testing results, and maintenance activities.
- Client and Team Collaboration:
- Communicate project updates, technical information, and recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and project managers, for seamless project delivery.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safety protocols for equipment installation and maintenance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within industrial or manufacturing settings.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and methods.
- Familiarity with industry regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a client-focused approach.
