TASKS INCLUDE
- Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
- Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
- Preparing and cooking food
- Seasoning food during cooking
- Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
- Storing food in temperature controlled facilities
- Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
- May plan menus and estimate food requirements
- May train other kitchen staff and apprentices
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Relevant Certificate or higher qualification or equivalent experience required
- Relevant work experience in a similar position required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Fluent English and well groomed
- Available to work days, evenings and weekends. (currently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays)
- This is a full time permanent position across a 7-day rotating roster.
