- About the Role:
As an Grill Chef, you will bring your culinary expertise and creativity to create unforgettable dining experiences. You’ll be responsible for crafting menus, preparing high-quality dishes, and maintaining the highest standards of kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement diverse and innovative menus that highlight American cuisine, from classic dishes to modern interpretations.
- Oversee kitchen operations, including food safety, hygiene, and inventory management.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Engage with guests, receive feedback, and continuously strive to enhance the culinary experience.
Requirements:
- Complete a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Chef specialising in American cuisine in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or resort.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Applicants who need sponsorship must meet the following criteria, in addition to the previously mentioned requirements:
- Possession of a valid English language certificate is mandatory, with a minimum overall score of 5.5 and no individual component scoring below 5.0 in the IELTS test
- Successful completion of a Skill Assessment from the appropriate Australian skill assessing authorities (TRA or VETASSESS) may be necessary, contingent on your passport or the location of your placement.
