To support our expanding operations, we are seeking skilled and motivated Diesel Motor Mechanics to join our team in Darwin City.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines in a range of construction machinery and vehicles.
- Conduct regular servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
- Test repaired vehicles and machinery for proper performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve engine and mechanical issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the workshop team to ensure work is completed according to company and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and time spent on tasks.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and workplace health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Relevant trade qualification as a Diesel Motor Mechanic or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with diesel engines, preferably in construction machinery or heavy vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Current driver's license (preferably HR or MR license).
Desirable:
- Previous experience in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with Australian standards and safety requirements.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime as required.
