We are a busy Japanese cuisine located in regional NSW, Dubbo. We are dedicated to serving freshly made Japanese dishes to our customers and also provide catering services for diverse range of events, including corporate functions and many more.
We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Cook to join our team. The role will be responsible for planning menus, supervise for the preparation of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner.
Candidates are required to have a relevant qualification at the required level for cook and at least one year of relevant work experience. They are expected to have a strong work ethic and commitment to a career as a cook in the food services industry.
- Qualification at least AQF Certificate IV
- At least one year of full time work or equivalent work experience
This is a full time position in a regional NSW and those who are interested are encouraged to send their CV by email.
The role will be responsible for;
- Daily preparation and cooking of food items
- Season, cook, prepare dishes according to direction of chef and/or recipes
- Prepare specialty sauces and marinade
- Portion and present food on plates
- Regulate temperature of various cooking equipment
- Serve food in the proper portion size and at the proper temperature
- Ensure timely preparation of all meals
- Set up station according to restaurant guidelines
- Safely use and utilise equipment during food preparation
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as directed
- Restock all items as needed throughout shift
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organisational skills
- Properly use and maintain all equipment in station
- Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, coolers, and all storage areas
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerance
- Ensure quality and safety of food by performing sanitary measures
- Plan new menus and contribute ideas and provide assistance as required
- Follow proper reporting procedures for accidents and incidents
