Job Description
Our engineering company is seeking a Commissioning FGT Engineer to join our team for the East Rockingham Waste-to-Energy (WTE) Project.
This role is critical in overseeing the commissioning of the Flue Gas Treatment (FGT) system, ensuring optimal emissions control and compliance with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement detailed commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules for the FGT system, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
Conduct and supervise functional tests, cold and hot commissioning, system tuning, and performance validation for emissions control and operational efficiency.
Oversee and coordinate chemical injection systems, reagent dosing, and filtration units to meet emission standards before startup.
Participate in mechanical completion inspections and system walkdowns, verifying equipment integrity and readiness.
Lead the commissioning of auxiliary systems, including bag filters, scrubbers, dry sorbent injection, lime and activated carbon dosing, and continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS).
Manage coordination with OEM vendors, subcontractors, and engineering teams to ensure smooth execution of commissioning activities.
Diagnose and resolve technical and operational issues related to emissions control, reagent dosing, and system optimization.
Ensure all commissioning activities comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations, risk assessments, and industry standards.
Analyze system performance and generate detailed commissioning reports.
Provide technical guidance and training to plant operators and maintenance teams for a seamless transition to full-scale operations.
