Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Mid-Senior Compositor with strong Nuke expertise to integrate seamlessly into our team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality compositing work. You will be working on a variety of projects, collaborating with other artists, and contributing to the overall success of the studio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Seamlessly integrate CG elements, matte paintings, and live-action footage to create high-quality final shots.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve technical and artistic issues efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with other artists, supervisors, and production teams to meet deadlines and maintain quality.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and consistency across projects.
- Optimize workflows and offer solutions to improve efficiency within the compositing pipeline.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a compositor in a VFX studio environment, ideally at a mid-senior level.
- Advanced proficiency in Nuke.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent understanding of color, lighting, and depth to create photorealistic compositions.
- Familiarity with tracking, rotoscoping, keying, and other compositing techniques.
- Ability to take direction and feedback while also contributing creative ideas.
- Must be located in Queensland or willing to relocate.
- Australian working rights preferred, but visa sponsorship available for high-quality, experienced artists already in Australia.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with other compositing or 3D software.
- Scripting knowledge (Python) to automate compositing tasks.
- Previous experience working in a small, agile studio environment.
