Our Hotel is seeking full-time experienced chefs to join our team in Western Australia. Sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.
The hotel is situated on Western Australia’s stunning Coral Coast and is a favourite stop for a meal and accommodation. The hotel, built in 1867, has expanded over time to include a 28-room motel with ensuites, a dine-in restaurant, café, and alfresco bar with a delicious menu.
The Role: As a Chef, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Assisting our team in maintaining an efficient and proactive kitchen operation
- Ensuring all meals are of high quality and prepared in a timely manner
- Utilizing a variety of fresh, frozen, and prepared ingredients to prepare, cook, and present a range of dishes according to a seasonal menu
- Practicing effective stock rotation and wastage minimisation procedures
- Assisting with menu changes
- Preparing and cooking food
- Assisting with selecting and training staff
To be successful in the role, you will possess the following:
- Previous experience within a fast-paced commercial kitchen, with at least three years of experience
- Availability to work full-time hospitality hours
- Ability to work well under high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication skills with all team members
- A diploma in hospitality and Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
