Key Responsibilities
As a Driller, you will be responsible for:
· Operating drilling rigs and associated machinery to extract core samples, groundwater, or to establish foundations.
· Interpreting drilling plans, specifications, and guidelines to execute operations efficiently.
· Monitoring and maintaining equipment to ensure safe and optimal performance.
· Conducting prestart checks and adhering to strict safety protocols during operations.
· Supervising and guiding drilling crew members to ensure productivity and compliance with project timelines.
· Identifying and resolving technical issues during drilling operations.
· Preparing and maintaining accurate reports and logs of drilling activities.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
· Minimum two years of proven experience as a Driller in construction, mining, or geotechnical projects.
· Competency in operating drilling rigs and associated tools.
· Knowledge of drilling techniques and equipment maintenance.
· Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and ability to adhere to safety standards.
· Strong problem solving skills and ability to adapt to dynamic work environments.
· Effective communication and team management abilities.
· A valid driver’s license (essential).
· Relevant certifications in drilling or construction (preferred but not mandatory).
