 What You’ll Do as an Asphalt Paver / Bituminous Sealing Equipment Mechanic

While you’re on the team, you’ll perform a range of crucial tasks to keep operations running smoothly:

 Maintain and repair heavy vehicles, pavers, bitumen sprayers, and related equipment.
 Provide field support across the NT — accommodations and meals are covered while you’re away.
 Perform scheduled servicing, breakdown repairs, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.
 Manage spare parts, complete maintenance logs, and follow safety protocols.
 Operate both independently and alongside road crews in challenging environments.

 Requirements for Asphalt Paver / Bituminous Sealing Equipment Mechanic

Additionally, you must bring a strong technical background and relevant experience to succeed:

 5+ years’ experience as a heavy vehicle or diesel mechanic.
 3+ years’ experience in bituminous surfacing or road construction.
 Experience with Volvo, Hino, Scania, Mercedes, DAF, Schaefer, or Secmair.
 Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or recognized equivalent.
 An HR Licence (minimum) — HC preferred.
 A Forklift Licence (ideally) — White Card (we can aid you in obtaining this).
 First Aid & CPR (advantageous).
 Ability to work weekend hours, travel regionally, and operate in rugged environments.
 Reliable, motivated, with a strong problem-solving mindset.
