Malt dinings Attic Restaurant opened in 2011 and has continued to be one of Brisbane's favourite intimate dining location focused on quality with out the volume demands that exist in most inner city Venues.
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support our Venue manager and take control of the top floor Attic Restaurant and our private dining cellar for all front of house operations.
You will be supported by the GM and work closely with renowned Head Chef Andy Birse.
This role is for someone with experience and confidence in them self to continue to grow the strengths of their team take The Attic on into the new year with pride.
A strong knowledge of wine and food provenance will be important to be able to provide an experience that customer's will remember and staff will aspire to.
The Role
Lead a small front of house team of 6
Showcase and share your knowledge on the floor during service
Maintain exceptional guest experience across lunch & dinner
Work Tuesday to Saturday ensuring consistent service delivery across both lunch and dinner periods
Oversee reservations and work closely with our events manager for larger bookings
Share experience your wine and food knowledge and support your team
Manage operational responsibilities and cash up
Work with the GM on rosters and contribute to management meetings
Work closely with the kitchen and senior management to deliver seamless service
About You
Minimum 2+ years' experience as Assistant or Restaurant manager in a high end venue.
Demonstrated experience in any upscale venue environment including fine dining, premium casual dining, or high-end hospitality operations
Strong wine, cocktail, and beverage knowledge
Formal training in wine knowledge is required for this position
WSET Level 2 certification or equivalent formal wine qualification
Calm, decisive, and professional under pressure
Exceptional communication, organisation, and attention to detail
High personal presentation and pride in standards
Genuine passion for hospitality and leadership
Australian work rights are preferred, however sponsorship is available for the right candidate
