This role is ideal for a trade-qualified Auto Electrician with strong 12V and 24V experience, a high standard of workmanship, and the ability to document work accurately using basic computer systems.
The Role
Diagnose, test and fault-find automotive electrical and electronic systems
Install 12V and 24V accessories on new vehicles (non-electric), including lighting, UHF radios, cameras, inverters, wiring looms and 4WD accessories
Repair or replace wiring, switches, relays, lighting systems, batteries, alternators and starters where required
Test installed and refurbished electrical components to ensure operational safety and compliance
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, specifications and manufacturer guidelines
Maintain accurate records of work completed, testing results and job details using basic office computer systems
Work safely in line with WHS and environmental standards
Maintain tools, diagnostic equipment and workshop areas in a clean and safe condition
Work collaboratively with workshop staff and provide technical support when required
About You
Trade-qualified Automotive Electrician (or equivalent overseas qualification with relevant experience)
Proven experience working on new vehicles and accessory installations
Confident working with 24-volt systems
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Basic office and computer skills for job records and documentation
Reliable, self-motivated and detail-oriented
Strong understanding of WHS practices and safe work procedures
Visa Sponsorship (482)
Temporary Skill Shortage (Subclass 482) visa sponsorship may be available for suitably qualified and experienced candidates who meet Australian migration requirements
Applicants must hold relevant trade qualifications, demonstrate proven work experience, and be willing to undergo skills assessment if required
