Our client, LC Auto Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join their busy workshop in Dandenong. This is a full time position servicing a wide range of vehicles and supporting a growing automotive team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out mechanical servicing and repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and workplace safety standards, including:

• Conducting routine maintenance, servicing and vehicle inspections
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and road testing
• Repairing or replacing worn or defective components including engines, transmissions, steering, suspension and braking systems
• Dismantling, repairing and reassembling vehicle components and systems
• Performing engine tune ups, oil changes, filter replacements and cooling system servicing
• Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after repair or replacement
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within required timeframes
• Maintaining accurate service records and reporting identified issues to management
• Complying with workplace health and safety requirements at all times

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of relevant post qualification experience as an Automotive Mechanic
• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
• Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis
• Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and attention to detail

• Hours: Monday to Friday (38 hours per week)
