Publique Bakery is a well-established artisan bakery supplying high-quality breads and pastries across Melbourne. We are currently seeking an experienced Baker to join our production team on a full-time basis. Employer sponsorship is available for the right candidate.
Candidates must hold any valid work visa or be eligible for employer sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing, baking and finishing artisan breads, baguettes and pastries
Hand-shaping dough including baguettes, loaves and specialty breads
Manually swapping and rotating baguettes and bread loaves during baking
Operating and monitoring rack ovens and deck ovens
Following recipes, production schedules and quality standards
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised bakery environment
Working as part of a team to ensure consistent product quality
Skills & Experience
Qualification in Baking or Pastry, or strong industry experience
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef where formal qualification is not held
Experience in artisan bread production and hand-shaping
Confident using rack ovens and deck ovens
Good understanding of dough fermentation and baking techniques
Ability to work in a fast-paced production bakery
Strong attention to detail and quality
