About the Role

Bounce Magnetic Island is seeking an experienced Bar / Restaurant Manager to join our team on Magnetic Island, QLD. This is a full-time position offering a potential sponsorship opportunity for the right candidate. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our busy bar and restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving profitability.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage the bar and restaurant team, including recruitment, training, scheduling and performance management
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimise efficiency and productivity
• Oversee inventory management, stock control and purchasing to minimise waste and control costs
• Monitor and analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Ensure compliance with all relevant liquor licensing, food safety and workplace health and safety regulations
• Foster a positive and customer-focused culture within the team
• Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience (5+ years) in a similar Bar / Restaurant Manager role, ideally within the hospitality industry
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to deliver an exceptional dining experience
• Strong financial acumen and the ability to interpret data to drive business performance
• Solid understanding of liquor licensing, food safety and workplace health and safety regulations
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Hospitality Management or a related field are highly desirable
