Sago Build is a bespoke home builder focused on high quality, custom, architecturally designed homes in Sydney, Australia. We have projects in the inner west of Sydney, North Shore and Central Sydney. We work closely with Architects to produce bespoke and unique homes for our clients. We are a small specialised team of construction professionals who deliver these projects.

The Role, Skills & Experience

We are looking for an energetic Site Manager with a good working knowledge of Residential Architectural Projects in Sydney. The Site Manager will be responsible for controlling the progress of works onsite in collaboration with the Project Manager and the supervisor.

This role functions as a Leading Hand position with approximately 40% hands-on carpentry work required.

The ideal applicant would have the following:

• Previous experience in the managing of quality houses with a reputable architectural builder - in capacity as Leading hand, Site foreman, site manager or previous building business owner/ operator,
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in managing quality residential architectural projects
• Passion and interest in creative Architectural projects
• Professional and motivated approach to work
• Experience in interpreting architectural plans, planning for and executing architectural details
• Carpentry skills and evidence of quality craftsmanship and willingness to work hands-on as required.
• Trade certificate in carpentry with demonstrated quality craftsmanship
• Good knowledge of different materials, detailing and quality
• Demonstrated experience in ensuring projects are kept on track in time
• Good communication skills
• Basic user proficiency required in Excel, Word, Mail, and Adobe software
