We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and fully qualified chef to assist in running our cafe kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan menus and design dishes based on seasonality and availability of ingredients
Manage and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and hygiene are maintained
Ensure that all dishes are prepared and cooked to the highest standard and presented beautifully
Maintain accurate records of food costs and wastage
Order and manage stock levels of ingredients and kitchen equipment
Ensure that health and safety standards are met in the kitchen at all times
Continuously develop and innovate new dishes to enhance the menu
Skills and experience
Prior 2 years full time experience in a comparable cafe/restaurant
Proven experience leading kitchen staff
A creative approach to menu design and dish presentation
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadline
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends
Attention to detail is a must, as is demonstrated culinary expertise. We want someone with creativity and passion to help us produce innovative dishes and enhance the overall dining experience for our customers.
