About the Role:
We're seeking a passionate and reliable Chef to join our kitchen at Dessert Corner Truganina & Cranbourne location. This role is perfect for someone with a flair for Indian cuisine and a desire to grow in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations
Develop, refine and execute an exciting Indian/fusion food menu
Ensure food safety, hygiene, and quality control standards are met
Lead, train, and manage kitchen staff
Supervising staff experience is essential for effectively leading and managing the kitchen team
Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen costs effectively
Work closely with management on menu planning and specials
What We're Looking For:
Experience in a commercial kitchen setting (3–4 years minimum preferred)
Strong foundation in Indian cuisine – street food or regional knowledge a plus
Passion for innovation and presentation
Excellent organisational and leadership skills
Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends
Visa sponsorship is available for this position
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery is required
