About the role

Kings Beach Surf Club is seeking an experienced Chef to join our team at our picturesque beachfront location in Kings Beach, Queensland. In this full-time position, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our valued members and guests.

What you'll be doing

1. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
2. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu items
3. Ensure all food preparation and cooking adheres to health and safety standards
4. Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
5. Mentor and supervise junior kitchen staff
6. Contribute to the overall success and positive reputation of the Kings Beach Surf Club

What we're looking for

1. Relevant formal culinary qualification or equivalent industry experience
2. Certificate III or higher in commercial cookery or equivalent qualification is required
3. Proven expertise in a similar Chef or sous chef role, ideally within the hospitality & tourism industry
4. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a Chef or sous chef position is required
5. Exceptional cooking skills and a passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills
8. Commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
9. Australian work rights are not required as visa sponsorship is available for suitable candidates
