We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Manager to join our team at the Western Australia Country Health Service, specifically in the Day of Surgery Admission (DOSA) unit. This role is essential in maintaining and advancing nursing standards within our surgical services while promoting quality health outcomes.
As the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for leading your team in delivering high-quality patient care, developing evidence-based practice guidelines, and managing resources efficiently within the Day Procedure Unit and Endoscopy services. Your role will involve communication across multidisciplinary teams, oversight of staff performance, and engagement with quality improvement initiatives to ensure excellence in patient service and care delivery.
Ideal Candidate:
Registered Nurse eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Proven leadership abilities with advanced clinical skills in Surgical Services.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in conflict resolution and negotiation.
Experience in coordinating human, physical, and financial resources for effective nursing care.
Understanding of continuous quality improvement and risk management processes.
Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements affecting nursing practice.
Possession of a current C or C-A Class driver's licence.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and evaluate systems and processes to enhance service effectiveness within the Surgical Services directorate.
Provide leadership in planning and managing operations in the Day Procedure Unit, and Endoscopy service.
Maintain and promote evidence-based nursing practice guidelines and policies within the perioperative unit.
Collect, analyse, and interpret data to inform program development and performance evaluation.
Ensure compliance with NSQHS, EQuIP, and ACORN standards while managing risk and quality improvement initiatives.
