About the role

As a Chef Cook at the Junction City Hotel, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This full-time position is located in the beautiful town of Burren Junction, NSW 2386. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of high-quality dishes to delight our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking meals to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and quality
• Collaborating with the kitchen team to create innovative menu items and specials
• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment
• Adhering to health, safety and food hygiene regulations
• Assisting with menu planning and costing
• Providing exceptional customer service and responding to guest requests
• Mentoring and training junior kitchen staff

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Chef Cook in a similar hospitality environment
• Minimum 1-2 years of chef cook experience in a commercial kitchen
• Excellent culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes
• A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service
