The Foreshore Hangout Lounge — where ocean views meet great food, music, and good vibes — is looking for a passionate Cook to join our kitchen team full-time.

What You'll Do

• Planning and changing our menu from time to time.
• Reporting to management or supervisor a weekly estimate of the costs of ordering ingredients and other supplies.
• Examining ingredients and food produce to ensure and maintain freshness and quality.
• Storing and maintaining the freshness of ingredients and food produce appropriately including freezing them.
• Preparing and cooking food and dishes on our menu.
• Seasoning and cooking of food and dishes to our restaurant standard.
• Portioning the serve for each dish.
• Plating and presenting of dishes.
• Cooking food to specific diners' requirements or requests on occasions.
• Such other duties as may be incidental to the work of a Cook.

What We're Looking For

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
• Minimum 1-2 years of commercial cooking experience required
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Great communication and teamwork
• Recent graduates and Job-Ready students are encouraged to apply!
• Australian work rights required at time of application
