We are a popular Thai restaurant in the heart of Mackay since 1996, dedicated to serving authentic, high-quality dishes. We are currently seeking a reliable and creative Cook to join our kitchen team. We have both Full-Time (at least 40 hours per week) and Permanent Part-Time (at least 30 hours per week) available.

The Role & Hours

• Split Shifts: 10:30 am – 2:30 pm & 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm.
• Availability: Must be available for our peak season (Christmas/New Year). Annual leave is encouraged throughout the year but limited during these busy monthWhat We Are Looking For:

• Wok Expertise: You must be confident in using and controlling the wok (Stir Fry) during high-volume service.
• Thai/Asian Culinary Knowledge: A solid understanding of authentic ingredients and flavour profiles.
• Menu Creativity: Ability to help design and create seasonal menus.
• Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and capable of working split shifts in a busy kitchen.
• Personal Attributes: Reliable, a great team player, and excellent communication skills. "We pride ourselves on a respectful kitchen culture where everyone helps each other out.”

Qualifications & Visa Status:

• Visa: Must have Full Australian Working Rights.
  • Please note: We are open to considering Visa Sponsorship for the right candidates but can only look into this option starting in 2027.
• Certification: A Certificate in Commercial Cookery is not required, but it is highly regarded and will benefit both you and the business.
