About the role:

Deniliquin Dental Clinic are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dentist to join our team! You will service the community of Deniliquin providing a comprehensive Public Health dental service where no two days are same.

The Dental Officer manages a mixed patient caseload with the following characteristics:

Primary caseload consists of adult patients with a proportion of paediatric patients also seen.

Average daily patient load of approximately 11 patients

Eligible children are seen in accordance with public dental program guidelines

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Current registration with AHPRA's Dental Board of Australia

Highly advanced skills in managing difficult clinical situations and a proven record of carrying out a broad range of advanced and complex dental procedures

Understanding of and commitment to a preventative/population health approach to patient care

Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively and sensitively with a wide range of individuals

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team

Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes (Class C drivers' licence)

The Dental Officer works as part of a multidisciplinary dental team, which includes:

Experienced dental assistants

Reception and administrative staff

Part-time oral health therapist

Access to a specialist oral surgeon (referral/visiting basis)

Access to specialist paediatric dentists (referral/visiting basis)
