About this role:

The Director of Nursing is responsible for the effective management, development and leadership of the health service to ensure best practice delivery of hospital, aged residential and community-based services and developing cooperative relationships with local communities and organisations.

To be successful you will have;

• Eligiblity for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and previous experience in Emergency and Primary health care management.
• Demonstrated ability as a leader/coordinator in diverse team environments.
• Highly developed communication skills and proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering clinical services to acute and primary health care.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering clinical services to the community and achieving high quality outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience in management of financial, human and physical resources and the achievement of agreed strategic outcomes.
• Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and health regulating Acts, experience and understanding of legislative obligations.
• Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety & Health, and how these impact on employment, people management and service delivery.
