About this role:
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the effective management, development and leadership of the health service to ensure best practice delivery of hospital, aged residential and community-based services and developing cooperative relationships with local communities and organisations.
To be successful you will have;
Eligiblity for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and previous experience in Emergency and Primary health care management.
Demonstrated ability as a leader/coordinator in diverse team environments.
Highly developed communication skills and proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
Demonstrated commitment to delivering clinical services to acute and primary health care.
Demonstrated commitment to delivering clinical services to the community and achieving high quality outcomes.
Demonstrated experience in management of financial, human and physical resources and the achievement of agreed strategic outcomes.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and health regulating Acts, experience and understanding of legislative obligations.
Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety & Health, and how these impact on employment, people management and service delivery.
