We run approx 30,000 hens and produce, grade and pack all of our own eggs.

The farm is located approx 15 minutes from town and 20 minutes to our famous beaches.

Qualifications & experience
Preference will be given to candidates who have : A minimum five years experience as a Poultry Farm Manager, Poultry Farm Assistant Manager or similar. Good leadership qualities, effective communication and management skills.
You will have a high degree of mechanical aptitude, team orientation, excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
Good knowledge of Industry Standards, Animal Welfare and WHS.
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the farm, including animal welfare/husbandry, staff management, ensuring best practice in OHS, production and fam maintenance.
Must be a self starter and motivator, prepared to work hands on working directly with livestock, after hours and weekend work will be required.
Regular weekend availability is required for livestock monitoring and farm operations.
Current manual drivers license
Forklift/tractor ticket and advantage
First Aid certification may be obtained prior to commencement or during initial employment period.
Computer literacy is essential.
Tasks & responsibilities
Responsible for the day to day operation of the Farm Operations, management of farm staff, livestock welfare and feed ordering
Maintain poultry sheds, equipment, farm yards and grounds, production and flock performance.
Monitoring and management of flock health and welfare.
Supervise and motivate farm staff, ensuring a safe and efficient work place.
Administration and reporting on farm operations and flock performance.
Determine feed requirements, administer and supervise vaccines and medicines
Perform investigative autopsies as required.
Planning and prioritising work, achieving targets and adhering to budgets.
Oversee farm biosecurity, flock change overs and shed clean outs.
Maintaining a safe work environment.
Maintain and build on OHS and QA programs.
Implement company Policies and Procedures regarding Quality Assurance, Animal Welfare and Work Place Health and Safety.
