As an experienced Field Service Technician, this is an excellent opportunity for you to utilise your sound technical knowledge. Ideally, your experience will be from an electronic/scientific instrumentation field where you have proven yourself by demonstrating strong troubleshooting skills. You must be a good written & verbal communicator, highly motivated and have the ability to work independently.
In this role, you would be responsible for routine and non-routine service work of existing projects:
Responsible for training of new technicians
Ensure service delivery of Branch maintenance contracts are in accordance with project deliverables, costs and relevant standards.
Maintain and enhance customer relationships to leverage additional opportunities Assist sales and business development teams as required
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction in accordance with company requirements and position KPIs.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installation, Servicing and Maintenance of Monitoring Equipment
Coordinate installation and commissioning of monitoring systems in accordance with relevant standards (lab manual, Australian Standards, NATA, ISO17025, ISO9001, ISO45001, codes of practice etc)
Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on assigned projects as per maintenance schedule
Ensure that system documentation is maintained up to date and accurate
Plan each field trip thoroughly to ensure all necessary tools, spares and equipment are available to complete pending and current tasks
Ensure sufficient equipment/spares are on hand to attend most foreseeable failures for assigned projects
Ensure servicing work is carried out in accordance with customer requirements, the directives of the Data Reporting Services Department, and the requirements of the Quality management System
Ensure that maintenance procedures are followed thoroughly and efficiently on time and on budget
Manage resolution of daily faults
Ensure all test / calibration equipment certification is up to date.
Attend and maintain required certification and site inductions as required
Provide on-site and remote (telephone) support and technical troubleshooting for customers as required
Assist in the training of customers
Client liaison and building long-term working relationships.
Safety culture

Ensure the branch is compliant with all HSE policies, procedures and management plans
Ensure all safety observations are recorded, including at least 1 per quarter per staff member
Ensure lone worker safety processes are implemented and maintained
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Educational Requirements:
Must Have Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, trade certificate or advanced degree in electrical/electronic or relevant scientific discipline
Desirable Qualifications
Prior training on Acoem or competitor brand of environmental monitoring instrumentation or systems
Project Management
Technical Competencies & Skills:
Advance skills in fault finding and diagnostics
Familiarity with electronic equipment & gas measurement technologies
Required Experience:
1+ years relevant Industry experience, preferably in a field technician/engineer role
