Orontide is a leading Western Australian company providing specialist engineering, fabrication, preservation, and integrity maintenance services to the Oil & Gas, Mining, Naval Defence, Marine and Commercial Industries.

As a result of company’s continued growth, an opportunity has become available for an excellent First-Class Machinist join our Engineering team, located in our Henderson Workshop.

About the Role

The position will be workshop based with occasional site work when required. As the successful candidate you will have extensive experience with manual machines turning, milling, horizontal borer, heavy duty lathes, also experience on CNC lathes.

To be successful for this position, you must possess the following:

• Related Australian recognised trade qualification.
• Experience on manual lathes and mills
• Previous work experience in engineering workshop
• Good understanding of engineering drawings
• Alpha Harrison NC lathe operating experience must
• Machinist trade certificate compulsory
• Experience on horizontal borers and heavy-duty lathes (advantage but not compulsory)
• Ability to obtain a Police Clearance
