Form and Pour Pty Ltd is looking for a skilled Formwork Carpenter to become part of our on-site construction team in Sydney. This role is full-time and ongoing, with a standard 38-hour work week from Monday to Friday.

Position Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out, constructing, assembling, stripping and removing a wide range of formwork systems for concrete elements such as walls, slabs, beams, columns and lift cores. You will collaborate with site supervisors, fellow tradespeople, project management and subcontractors to ensure all tasks are carried out safely, accurately and within required timeframes.
Key Duties
Interpret construction drawings, formwork plans and specifications
Build, install, adjust and dismantle timber, plywood, steel, aluminium and modular formwork systems
Construct formwork for both vertical and horizontal structural components
Verify formwork/falsework is plumb, aligned, level and properly secured in line with engineering and manufacturer guidelines
Liaise with steel fixers, concrete placement teams and post-tensioning crews
Install bracing, propping and temporary support systems as needed
Perform routine inspections, identify hazards and ensure corrective action is taken
Follow WHS requirements, company procedures and the site Safety Management System
Maintain a tidy, organised and safe work area and contribute positively to the site team
Required Skills & Experience
Certificate III in Carpentry with at least two years of practical industry experience, or a minimum of three years proven formwork carpentry experience on commercial or industrial projects
Strong background across all major formwork systems (timber, aluminium, modular)
Ability to confidently read and work from engineering drawings and plans
Strong safety awareness with a current White Card and valid site access credentials
Current Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel to various sites across Sydney
Able to perform manual labour, work at heights and adapt to different site conditions
Reliable, punctual and capable of working independently as well as within a team
Good communication abilities and a strong work ethic
