ME Medical Recruitment is currently recruiting for General Physicians / General Medicine Specialists to join their well-established and expanding Department of Medicine.

Eligibility – Australian, New Zealand or UK GMC-Trained Specialists with :
To meet Australian Medical Council expedited pathway, applicants must meet one of the following UK training routes:
Route A — General Internal Medicine (GIM) You must have:
MRCP (UK) awarded August 2007 onwards
Full UK postgraduate training completed
Awarded UK CCT in General Internal Medicine
Completed entire specialty training within the UK system
Route B — Dual Training (GIM + Acute Internal Medicine) You must have:
MRCP (UK) awarded August 2009 onwards
Completion of full UK dual training programme
CCT in General Internal Medicine and Acute Internal Medicine
Entire postgraduate training completed within the UK
These pathways align with AHPRA Specialist Recognition processes and are suitable for doctors aiming for Specialist Registration in Australia.
About the Role
As a Staff Specialist in General Medicine, you will:
Provide inpatient and outpatient general medicine services
Participate in the acute and on‑call roster (negotiable)
Work within a multi‑disciplinary team with strong sub specialty support
Contribute to registrar, SHO and medical student teaching
Participate in service improvement, clinical governance and leadership
Work within an RACP‑accredited training environment
The Department hosts physicians with subspecialty interests including Cardiology, Infectious Diseases, Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Respiratory, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Geriatrics and Palliative Care.
