The Position
An exciting opportunity currently exists at this well-established, modern practice for a General Practitioner (GP) to join a friendly team of highly experienced colleagues on a full-time basis, helping to meet the growing patient demand. The practice offers a warm, welcoming, and family-oriented environment focused on personalised patient care. A broad range of services is provided, including general health care, men's, women's and children's health, immunisations, skin cancer checks and minor procedures, chronic disease management, pre-employment medicals, antenatal and postnatal care, and Indigenous health.

They are now stepping into the role of guiding First Point Health Care with the same passion for excellence and community care that has driven their success. They are committed to expanding services in Launceston and are deeply honoured to serve this wonderful community, focusing on quality and affordable healthcare for all.
Accredited by AGPAL, First Point Healthcare is a privately owned general practice, and the team comprises six doctors, 3 nurses, a practice manager, an office manager and 3 receptionists.
The practice is open Monday to Friday – 8am to 5.30pm, Saturday and Sunday – 9am to 5.30pm, and after-hours calls are triaged through the GP Assist service.
Medical software used is Best Practice and operates as a bulk-billing practice.
Skills and Experience Required
Current AHPRA Specialist or General Registration
Excellent communication and patient-care skills
Vocationally Registered GP, or
Non-VR GP currently on (or eligible for) an approved RACGP pathway such as PEP or FSP
