Our client is a leading rare earth minerals producer operating a strategically significant project in Far North Queensland. With continued growth and a strong focus on sustainable resource development, they are seeking an experienced and driven Geologist to support the Senior Geologist and play a key role in advancing site performance.

This is a hands-on operational position suited to a geologist who is confident in both the field and technical environment. The successful candidate will bring initiative, leadership capability and the technical strength required to help take the mine to the next level.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting in-pit geological mapping and overseeing ore control activities
• Collecting, logging and analysing soil, rock and drill samples
• Supporting and improving exploration planning and execution
• Maintaining geological databases with strong QA/QC processes
• Contributing to geological modelling, interpretation and reporting
• Preparing technical reports and supporting regulatory compliance
• Identifying opportunities to improve grade control, data quality and operational outcomes
• Upholding strong workplace health, safety and environmental standards

This role requires a proactive mindset and the ability to operate confidently within an active mine site environment.

About You

• Degree in Geology or Geoscience (essential)
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in hard rock mining or mineral exploration
• Strong practical experience in ore control and operational geology
• Exposure to geological modelling and relevant industry software
• Demonstrated ability to identify improvements and drive operational performance
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• C Class Driver’s Licence (essential)
• Physically fit and comfortable working in field-based conditions
• Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a small team
