We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team in beautiful Albany on Western Australia’s south coast.

Motel Le Grande is a well-established accommodation property in Albany. Our on-site restaurant is open to both motel guests and the public and has long been a local favourite, with bar and function facilities also on site.

About the role
This is an opportunity for a capable chef who enjoys taking ownership of a kitchen, maintaining high food standards, and working collaboratively with management. The role offers flexibility to shape the kitchen operations and menu direction over time.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations
• Maintaining food quality and presentation standards
• Managing ordering and stock control
• Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements
• Supporting and mentoring kitchen staff

About you:

• Proven experience in a senior kitchen role (Head Chef or Sous Chef)
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• Sound knowledge of food safety standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
