About the Role
As Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, lead the culinary team, and deliver a consistent, high-quality food offering that complements our café and wine bar concept.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage all kitchen operations and service
• Design, cost, and execute menus suitable for a café / wine bar
• Maintain food quality, presentation, and consistency
• Lead, train, and roster kitchen staff
• Manage food costs, ordering, stock, and waste control
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
• Work closely with management to align food and beverage offerings
About You
• Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Senior Sous Chef
• Experience in café, modern Australian, or wine bar-style kitchens
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Solid understanding of food costing and kitchen operations
• Passion for quality produce and well-executed food
• Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain)
