Join the Grand Central Hotel as our Head Chef and take the lead in delivering high quality pub dining in the heart of Brisbane City.
A well-known CBD meeting place, Grand Central Hotel is where city workers, locals and visitors come together for cold drinks, relaxed lunches and classic pub meals done right. Our kitchen serves lunch and dinner seven days a week, producing a menu built around Australian pub favourites alongside fresh seasonal dishes.
We are looking for a passionate and capable Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and help shape the venue’s food offering. This role will see you driving daily specials, seasonal promotions and function menus while maintaining the high standards our guests expect. Working closely with the Venue Manager and Head Office, you will play a key role in the continued growth and evolution of the venue’s food program.
About You
• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy venue
• Menu development skills with a passion for quality pub food and seasonal ingredients
• Strong operational management including food cost control, rostering, and kitchen efficiency
• Commitment to food safety and maintaining high hygiene standards
• Leadership ability to mentor and develop a motivated kitchen team
• Customer focused mindset ensuring consistent food quality and presentation
• Team builder who creates a positive and collaborative kitchen culture

This is a full-time position with sponsorship available for the right candidate. The salary for this role is $95,000.00 per annum*.
