About The Opportunity

In the role of Heavy Diesel Technician, you will carry out advanced diagnostics, servicing, and repair work on a broad range of heavy trucks and trailers. Utilising modern diagnostic systems and working alongside a high-calibre workshop team, you will contribute to a service department known for accuracy, efficiency, and safety leadership.

Reporting to the Service Manager, your duties will include:

• Identifying and rectifying faults across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Performing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance activities
• Preparing detailed service documentation and completing job cards accurately
• Using advanced diagnostic equipment and adapting to emerging technologies
• Tracking parts usage and maintaining precise service records
• Working collaboratively with fellow technicians and service advisors to exceed customer expectations

About You

You are a trade-qualified diesel technician with strong practical experience and a dedication to delivering reliable, high-quality workmanship. You prioritise safety, thrive in a team-based environment, and take pride in achieving consistent results.

To be successful, you will possess:

• Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
• Minimum 5 years’ post-trade experience servicing heavy diesel vehicles
• Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities across multiple systems
• Comprehensive knowledge of workplace health and safety standards
• Strong communication skills and a cooperative, team-oriented approach
