We’re looking for a skilled and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join the opening team of an exciting new Pan-Asian restaurant and bar launching soon in Darlinghurst.

You’ll play a key role in daily kitchen operations while supporting the senior chefs to deliver high standards, consistency, and a strong kitchen culture.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Assist in running daily kitchen operations smoothly and efficiently
Ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes during service
Support in ordering, inventory and stock control
Uphold kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards
Contribute ideas to menu development and seasonal changes
Lead and mentor junior kitchen staff in a collaborative environment
Step up and lead service in absence of senior chefs
We’re Looking For:
2+ years of proven experience as Sous or Junior Sous Chef in fast-paced kitchens, ideally in Asian or fusion venues
Confidence in leading sections and supporting kitchen systems
Passion for bold, modern flavours and sharp plating
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to stay calm under pressure and bring a solutions-first mindset
A genuine team player who thrives in collaborative environments
Full working rights in Australia
Ability to commute/relocate:
Sydney NSW 2000: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef: 2 years (Required)
