About the role:
Operating within National School of Theology, the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Theology will provide academic expertise in the Faculty of Theology and Philosophy to ensure excellence in teaching and learning within Catholic theology, and undertake and lead research in this field. It is expected that the successful candidate will contribute to the mission of the Faculty and University through teaching, research, academic administration, curriculum development, program coordination, and working collaboratively across the Faculty and the University and with external partners.
The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Theology will be accountable for:
Delivering high quality and innovative teaching and learning, through the delivery and/or development of lectures, tutorials and other classes at undergraduate, honours, and/or postgraduate levels.
Providing excellence and innovation in curriculum, content design, and/or enhancement of supportive, inclusive and effective learning environments, which includes the practical application of effective support to students.
Pursuing a quality research agenda in religious education, through publication, grant applications.
Demonstrating high standards of professional behaviour consistent with the University's Mission and Values, and Code of Conduct for All Staff, demonstrating a commitment to performance excellence and continuous improvement; and
Demonstrating understanding of the University's Catholic Identity and Mission and how it applies to academic work by contributing to the integration of principles of social justice, the pursuit of truth and care for the common good in all areas of academic activity relevant to the Teaching and Research Academic Pathway.

Total remuneration valued to $142,635 - $168,287 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $120,529 - $142,305 (pro rata) pa (Lecturer - Academic Level B), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
Total remuneration valued to $178,482 - $193,772 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $151,018 - $164,087 (pro rata) pa (Senior Lecturer - Academic Level C), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. * 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
