TJM Engineering is expanding and we’re looking for a highly skilled tradesperson to join our experienced team.

What You’ll Do

• Operate and maintain CNC machines to the highest safety and quality standards
• Work with fine tolerances and ensure precision in every component
• Apply a deep understanding of cutting tools, speeds, and feeds
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications
• Set up fixtures, tooling, and jigs with accuracy and attention to detail
• Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers, and slip gauges
• Write and verify CNC/CAD programs, including setup sheets for new jobs
• Continuously monitor part quality and drive process improvements
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to streamline processes
• Mentor apprentices and junior team members, sharing your experience and standards
• Maintain detailed production records and a clean, organized work area

  What We’re Looking For

• Australian Trade Qualification as a First Class Machinist (essential)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience operating high-speed, multi-axis CNC machines
• Proven ability to work to tight tolerances and production deadlines
• Strong understanding of OH&S and quality systems
• Solid communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Current C-Class Driver’s License
• Availability to work shift work, flexible roster available for right person
• Visa Sponsorship may be available for right person - *Kalgoorlie local only
