Maxwell Engineering is a large family run fabrication workshop in Hoppers Crossing. We specialize in Steel Fabrication, Labour hire, Site Installation and Shutdown Labour for our clients.

About the role

We are seeking fully qualified Maintenance Fitters for immediate start.

A minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance fitting experience is required for this position.

You will be working in a friendly environment at our onsite client location in Laverton.

We currently need people that can work flexible hours weekdays and weekends.

Suitable applicants will need to be self-starters and be able to work unsupervised at times.

Full Time placement will be offered to the successful applicant after a trial period.

Our head office and workshop is located in Hoppers Crossing.

Skills and experience

• Maintenance Fitters & Machinists

Trade qualifications required. Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (MEM30205) as part of an apprenticeship, or at a TAFE or registered training organisation.

• Proven ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot machinery
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring precision in work to avoid errors.
• Visa sponsorship is available for suitable candidates who do not have Australian work rights.
