About the Role
As part of our ongoing growth, we're excited to offer a new opportunity for a qualified Maintenance Fitter to join the Maintenance Team at our Merbein Packaging Winery.
Reporting to the Packaging Maintenance Manager This role is key in ensuring our products are packaged to the highest standard, supporting efficient operations across our production lines. Your main responsibilities will include.
Performing timely repairs and maintenance on winery equipment with minimal disruption to production
Assisting in the installation and commissioning of capital projects
Using diagnostic skills to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
Identifying and recommending opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and performance
Completing routine and preventative maintenance within expected timeframes
We are looking for
Trade Qualified: Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
Experience: Minimum of 3-years in a maintenance fitter role, ideally in a production, bottling or winery environment
Technical Skills: Proficient in mechanical troubleshooting, welding and fabrication, with a strong focus on safety.
Mechanical Aptitude: Strong problem-solving ability, high attention to detail, and a proactive approach to tasks
Communication & Teamwork: Clear communicator with a collaborative, self-motivated attitude and a commitment to our values — working together, being innovative, responsive, and empowered
Work Authorisation: Visa sponsorship is available for suitable candidates who do not currently hold Australian work rights.

Current driver licence (essential)
Forklift licence (desirable)
A 38-hours 5 day per week. Willingness to work across various shifts, including occasional weekends or on-call support, as reasonably scheduled
