This role is an expression of interest for experienced outboard engine marine technicians seeking Subclass 482 (Temporary Skill Shortage) visa sponsorship with Australian employers.
Suitable candidates may be introduced to employers operating authorised service and sales dealerships for leading marine engine brands, including Honda Marine, Yamaha Motor Australia, Mercury Marine and Suzuki Marine Australia.
Typical duties
Depending on employer and dealership requirements, duties may include:
Servicing, maintenance and repair of outboard engines
Diagnostics and fault-finding on modern marine engines
Installation and commissioning of outboard motors
Warranty repairs in line with OEM standards
Routine workshop and service documentation
Working to Australian safety, quality and compliance standards
Skills & experience
We are seeking candidates with:
Proven experience as an outboard or marine mechanical technician
Hands-on experience with one or more major OEM brands
Strong diagnostic and mechanical problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a workshop team
Willingness to undertake further training as required by employers
Trade qualifications or formal mechanical training are highly regarded.
