An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Clinical Nurse (Mental Health) to join a well-established Mental Health Inpatient & Community Service within a progressive regional South Australian health service.
This RN2C role is primarily clinical and suited to a confident mental health nurse ready to step into greater accountability, advanced clinical decision-making, and on-shift leadership. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide high-quality, recovery-oriented care across both inpatient and community settings while contributing to service development, clinical governance, and education initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver proficient, person-centred mental health nursing care across inpatient and community services
Monitor, evaluate and adjust care plans to ensure safe and effective outcomes
Provide shift-by-shift clinical leadership and support patient flow
Recognise and escalate clinical deterioration appropriately
Support and mentor Enrolled Nurses, students, and junior RNs
Contribute to clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement
Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and coordination
Deliver recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, culturally responsive care
About You
Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing (essential)
Minimum 3 years post-registration mental health experience
Demonstrated competence across inpatient and community mental health
Strong clinical judgement, communication, and leadership skills
Experience mentoring junior staff
Willingness to work across a 24/7 rotating roster
Commitment to culturally safe practice, including working with Aboriginal consumers
Regional or rural experience highly regarded
