ROLE OVERVIEW

Our clients are hiring several Mid-Senior Compositors with strong Nuke long-form (live-action) expertise. You'll integrate CG, DMP, and live-action plates into polished final shots, collaborate closely with CG/FX, and help maintain pace and quality across a fast-moving show schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Seamlessly integrate CG elements, matte paintings, and live-action footage to deliver final-quality shots.
• Diagnose and resolve technical/artistic issues quickly in Nuke.
• Work closely with compositing/CG supervisors, production, and fellow artists to hit deadlines without compromising quality.
• Maintain consistency, color accuracy, and photorealism across sequences.
• Suggest and implement workflow/pipeline improvements to boost efficiency.
• Stay current with compositing best practices and emerging tools.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 4 years of work experience as a compositor in a VFX studio environment (mid-senior level).
• Proficiency in Nuke.
• Strong grasp of color, lighting, grading, and depth for photoreal results.
• Confident with tracking, rotoscoping, keying, grain management, and integration.
• Able to take direction and contribute creative solutions; comfortable working independently and in team settings.
• Availability in Melbourne from late September 2025 through mid January 2026.
• Should be currently based in Melbourne or open to relocating.
• Australian work rights preferred.
  • Potential subclass 408 (Temporary Activity) visa sponsorship available for experienced artists already in Australia who meet eligibility requirements.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with additional compositing or 3D tools.
• Python or tool-building skills to automate Nuke tasks.
• Background in small, agile studio environments.
