Y Motels is an expanding hospitality group operating motels across Queensland. We are committed to providing clean, comfortable accommodation and friendly service to leisure, corporate, and long-stay guests.

We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and hands-on Motel Manager to take full responsibility for the daily operations of one of our regional properties. This is an on-site position, and applicants must be willing to relocate in regional Queensland.

The Role

As Motel Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the motel, ensuring high standards of presentation, service, and guest satisfaction.

Key duties include:

• Managing daily operations including reception, check-ins/check-outs, and guest enquiries
• Overseeing reservations, payments, and front desk procedures
• Coordinating housekeeping and maintenance to maintain cleanliness and property standards
• Supervising, training, and rostering staff
• Handling guest feedback and resolving issues professionally
• Monitoring occupancy, revenue, and operating costs
• Managing online travel agents (Booking.com, Expedia, etc.) and responding to reviews
• Ensuring compliance with WHS, licensing, and legal requirements
• Carrying out minor maintenance or general handyman duties when required

About You

• Previous experience managing a motel, hotel, or similar accommodation business
• Strong customer service skills with a practical, hands-on approach
• Ability to lead a small team and manage daily operations independently
• Confident using property management systems, online booking platforms, and basic admin tools
• Well organised with good time management and problem-solving skills
• Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
• Honest, dependable, and capable of working with minimal supervision
• Basic maintenance skills are highly regarded
• Suitable for individuals or couples willing to live on-site
• Hospitality qualifications and RSA/First Aid certificates are an advantage
