About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Head Motor Mechanic to join our busy rental fleet workshop. This is a senior role for a technician who can confidently diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles independently.

As we manage a large fleet of Toyota vehicles, we need a candidate who is highly proficient with Toyota mechanical systems and can ensure high-quality repairs are carried out efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Expert Diagnostics: Identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues using modern diagnostic tools.
• Equipment Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency with all standard workshop equipment including diagnostic tools and equipment for comprehensive vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Fleet Servicing: Oversee routine maintenance, brakes, and suspension repairs to keep our rental fleet safe and operational.
• Workshop Oversight: Communicate effectively with management regarding repair progress and parts requirements to ensure minimal vehicle downtime.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Mechanic: Must hold a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent. (Please note: This is not an apprentice role).
• Toyota Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of Toyota engines and vehicle systems.
• Problem Solver: Ability to work independently and take full responsibility for all workshop tasks.
