Bar Manager, Chefs & Supervisors

Opening April / May 2026

Location: Darwin CBD

NTFG Pty Ltd (New Premium Darwin Bar & Restaurant) is opening an upmarket bar and restaurant in the Darwin CBD in April/May 2026. With a strong food and cocktail-led offering, tropical-comfort design, and service from breakfast through late trading, the venue is seeking experienced hospitality professionals to join our opening leadership and operational team.

We are now seeking experienced hospitality professionals to join our founding team across Front of House and Back of House roles.

FRONT OF HOUSE ROLES

DAMA sponsorship and employer-sponsored visas may be available for suitably qualified and experienced candidates.

Indicative Remuneration (minimums, commensurate with experience):

• Bar Manager: from $80,000 + super
• Bar Supervisors: from $70,000 + super

Bar Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all bar operations across lunch, dinner, and late trading
• Design, implement, and maintain a high-quality cocktail and beverage program
• Manage bar staff recruitment, training, rostering, and performance
• Oversee stock control, ordering, cost management, and supplier relationships
• Ensure compliance with RSA, WHS, and venue standards
• Deliver exceptional guest experience aligned with an upmarket brand

About You:

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager or Senior Bar Supervisor in a high-volume or premium venue
• Strong cocktail knowledge and hands-on mixology skills
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Strong understanding of bar costing and stock control
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Bar Supervisors

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Bar Manager in daily bar operations
• Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverages to a high standard
• Supervise bar staff during service and ensure smooth service flow
• Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and bar setup standards
• Assist with training junior staff and enforcing service procedures

About You:

• Previous experience as a Bar Supervisor or Senior Bartender
• Strong cocktail and bar service knowledge
• Confident, professional, and service-focused approach
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

BACK OF HOUSE ROLES

Indicative Remuneration (minimums, commensurate with experience):

• Head Chef / Senior Chef: from $100,000 + super
• Cooks / Chefs: from $65,000 + super
• Pizza Chef / Pizza Cook: from $65,000 + super

Head Chef

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the culinary vision of the venue
• Develop menus aligned with a modern, upmarket bar and restaurant concept
• Manage kitchen operations, staffing, training, and rostering
• Control food costs, ordering, and inventory
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements
• Maintain consistent quality, presentation, and service timing

About You:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
• Strong leadership and kitchen management skills
• Experience in high-volume or quality-driven venues
• Passion for fresh, well-executed food and operational excellence

Cooks / Chefs

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items to venue standards
• Assist with prep, service, and kitchen operations
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
• Work collaboratively within a professional kitchen team

About You:

• Qualified or experienced cook/chef
• Ability to work across service periods including weekends
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Pizza Chef / Pizza Cook

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook pizzas to consistent quality standards
• Manage dough preparation, toppings, and cooking processes
• Maintain pizza station cleanliness and organisation
• Work efficiently during peak service periods

About You:

• Proven experience as a Pizza Chef or Pizza Cook
• Knowledge of dough fermentation and high-volume service preferred
• Reliable, organised, and team-oriented

Start Date: March / April 2026 (pre-opening and training)
