Position Profile: As the Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for providing outstanding leadership and management to both nurses and unregulated healthcare workers, ensuring high-quality clinical care for patients, residents, and their families. You will oversee the management of human, material, and environmental resources, fostering a safe and effective care environment that meets Aged Care and National Accreditation Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide advanced clinical leadership and expertise in acute and aged care nursing practice.
Collaborate with the Director of Nursing/Health Service Manager to develop and implement improvement strategies and evaluate performance outcomes.
Coordinate quality improvement projects to ensure outcome-based, customer-focused service delivery.
Manage staffing levels in response to patient acuity and safety risks while ensuring safe and effective care.
Undertake investigations of clinical incidents and patient complaints, implementing recommendations for improvement.
Ideal Candidate:
Registered Nurse eligible for registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
Strong clinical and leadership skills with a thorough understanding of acute/residential aged care.
Proven experience in managing human, material, and environmental resources within a healthcare setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on negotiation and conflict resolution.
Familiarity with contemporary quality and risk management practices in consumer-centred care.
Proficient in using digital tools for data entry, online policies, and learning resources.
Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements affecting healthcare delivery.
Parental Leave: This is a Fixed Term opportunity while the substantive occupant is on a period of Parental Leave.
