About the Role

As the Operations Coordinator, you’ll be right at the heart of everything. You’ll be the go-to person connecting clients, site leaders, and frontline teams across South Australia.

Container unloading — especially in cold storage — is a fast-moving, unpredictable environment. That means this role requires someone who is switched on, proactive, and constantly engaged with their workforce. You’ll be managing, supporting, coaching, and upskilling staff on a daily basis to ensure performance, safety, and service standards stay high.

You’ll have full responsibility for the day-to-day SA operation, reporting directly to senior leadership (Sydney and Brisbane), with genuine opportunity to grow this role into a future leadership position.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing daily and weekly job requirements with clients
• Ensuring labour is deployed effectively to meet operational demands
• Leading from the front — supporting, guiding, and training teams on-site
• Maintaining accurate records (timesheets, job allocations, toolbox reports)
• Communicating clearly with team leaders and workforce
• Being proactive when things change (because in this industry, they always do)
• Identifying staffing needs and supporting recruitment
• Ensuring compliance with WHS and company standards
• Conducting regular site visits to maintain service quality
• Building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
• Spotting growth opportunities and contributing to business development in SA
• Working closely with recruitment to keep workforce levels strong
• Creating positive culture through team engagement, BBQs, and initiatives
• Operating confidently and independently without micromanagement

Who We’re Looking For

• Has experience in operations, logistics, labour hire, warehousing, or similar
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-responsibility environments
• Is organised but flexible when plans change (because they will)
• Communicates clearly and confidently with all types of people
• Is tech-comfortable with systems and scheduling tools
• Takes ownership and doesn’t wait to be told what to fix
• Understands WHS and the importance of safety culture
• Enjoys developing people and building strong teams
• Is happy travelling between sites regularly
• Brings energy, leadership, and a solutions-focused mindset
