We are hiring Personal Care Assistants / Support Workers for our SRS site in Ringwood East. This role involves overall PCA support, daily living assistance, and helping residents participate safely in day-to-day life.
Supported Residential Services in Victoria operate within a regulated framework focused on resident safety and wellbeing.
Must have
Experience supporting people with disability, including clients with cognitive/intellectual disability and/or psychosocial disability (mental health support needs)
Certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support / Disability (or equivalent)
Up-to-date First Aid & CPR and Food Safety / Food Handling
High competence in day-to-day support tasks including: cleaning, personal hygiene, cooking, supervision
Full driver licence with a good driving record (resident transport required at times)
Ability to work sleepover shifts
Flexible, reliable, and dedicated to delivering a safe, respectful, person-centred experience
You will be responsible for
Providing care for live-in residents in a warm, supportive residential facility
Cooking and serving meals
Cleaning, tidying, and laundry
Medication support/supervision (as authorised and within role scope)
Supporting residents to follow their care plans and daily routines
Providing transport to appointments and outings when required
Ethics, safeguarding and compliance (audit-ready)
This is a position of trust supporting vulnerable residents. Staff are expected to consistently demonstrate strong ethics, sound judgement, and professional boundaries.
You will be required to:
Uphold duty of care, resident dignity, privacy, and respectful communication
Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation (shift notes/handovers)
Follow a zero-tolerance approach to neglect, abuse, exploitation, and unsafe practice
Identify, escalate, and document concerns promptly, including where a matter may meet notifiable incident reporting requirements applicable to SRS providers.
Experience (preferred)
Working with disability support needs: 1 year (preferred)
